Adults on FX
A promotional design campaign supporting the launch of FX's new series Adults. This work translated the show's tone and visual identity into cohesive assets across social media, digital platforms, and print—driving awareness and audience connection through bold, narrative-focused visuals.
The Brief
Adults is a new FX series following a chosen-family of young roommates navigating their twenties in New York. The campaign had to translate its sharp, character-driven tone across every surface a show launch touches.
Six asset families spanning motion to print: long-form trailers and promos, character key art establishing the ensemble, social cutdowns sized for feed, theatrical-style posters, ultra-wide OOH banners, and a sticker pack for fans.
The whole system had to feel like one show. Whether you saw Adults on a bus shelter, in your story feed, or on a friend's laptop sticker, the brand had to land instantly — same color logic, same type, same ensemble framing.
The Approach
Series launches are surface-multiplication problems. The character work is the source of truth — get the cast positioned and styled right, and every downstream asset (trailers, posters, OOH) inherits from that. Bottom of the stack is the sticker pack: small, fast, fan-facing.
Establish each cast member as a single key-art unit with consistent treatment.
Pull moments from the show into 16:9 cutdowns that match the still character treatment.
Cut the character work down for vertical feed and stories.
Compose the ensemble into theatrical-style posters for paid and press use.
Stretch the system to ultra-wide billboards and tighten it down to stickers.
